Dylan's report card

I just got Dylan's 'report card' from the school. So this is what the teachers wrote :
1-3months
Dylan has good eye-hand coordination. He still follow teachers' movements and enjoy looking around his environment. He is also starting to become aware of his hands and the grasp reflex is slowly fading, as this manipulative skill is developing well.

4-7months
Dylan is doing well in his physical gross motor skill. His muscles have strengthened enough so that he can put a lot of his weight on his forearms. He sits with hands forward for support. He will reach for large objects with both hands and grasp and hold his milk bottle, though not for long. He will smile at familiar faces and show interest at people around him. He does not like to be left alone and want the company of others.

Teacher did check these boxesas his development of skills that are meant for 8-12monthies and dated them 15/June, as he does this very frequently daily:
- Gets to sitting potision without assistance (8-10months)
- Crawls forward on belly
- Assumes hand and knee position
- Creeps on hands and knees
- Gets to sitting to crawling or prone (lying on stomach) position (10-12months)
- Explores objects in many different ways (shaking, banging, throwing, dropping) (8-10months)

And just today, he did pull himself up to standing position twice.
I must say, he certainly strong thighs and legs! :)

Update on Dylan

Yes, now he crawls. He would can now stand with assistance and he sits quite firmly....We got Dylan a playpen 2wks ago because he was being very violent in the cot. On fours he would shake back and forth to the extend of himself knocking his head on the railings! We figured even if we did put the bumper mat, he would still hurt himself when he's on fours. So YT bought the playpen for him. He loves it (at least till today).

And he SCREAMS when he is not satisfied with dinner. Just today he had cereal. He screamed for more food while I went into the kitchen to rinse the dirty hanky. SCREAMED with TEARS! It wasn't crying, pure screaming! So he had 2tbspoon of cereal with 180ml of milk for dinner. He held his own bottle while I dug into my dinner. Well done Dylan!

For the past 2wks, I run the same routine for Dylan, hoping that he would get the hook of it and of course this would make my life much easier. Typically on a weekday, when we reach home, I would put him in the playpen and quickly get Shawn's dinner done up. That would be at least 10-15min solo in the playpen. Then he would join us at the dinner table. He would have puree or cereal for dinner. After our dinner typically at 8plus, I would wipe him down and he stays in the playpen for another 10-15min while I get my bath (usually with him screaming in the playpen if YT doesn't take him out). Last feed is at about 9ish. After the latch on I would place him in the cot and let him go to lala-land on his own. Most of the time he needs the pacifier. He stirs a little at night, so I would creep out of the bed and stuff the pacifier into his mouth. When he gets up it's about 6-7am. I don't bother much until he starts to whine or cry. Then I would drag myself up to latch him on.
