Flipped!

Dylan struggled to flip to the side 90deg on his own on 4/3. He did it well and obviously was happy suckling his thumb at the perfect position. On 5/3 morning he woke up and was able to flip from his back onto his tummy. It wasn't perfect. After a few times teaching how to shift his arms away so that they balance him well, he learnt it quickly and now, it's smooth for him to just turn around. However, the only problem is when he is tired and unable to hold his head high and whambam onto his nose, face down, he gets upset and start screaming and crying. We have to watch him very closely. Can't take anymore chances leaving him alone for a longer period now.

Dylan weighs 7.3kg last Saturday when we brought him to see Dr Khor. It was for his nose, because he was snorting away for quite awhile. Basically it's due to Ooi family nose. Can't cure, just got to live with it. Thanks to the haze and the bad weather, even the change of temperature from cold to hot would trigger the snort. Dr Khor said, just treat it as if he's snoring, no harm. Leave the cute little baby alone. He had a jab that day and didn't winch a single inch as his backside flesh was enough to buffer the pain from the syringe.

Dylan Dylan Dylan

Last night as I was organizing my milk stash, I found a cracked milk glass bottle. Obviously, to my horror it's a 300ml cracked bottle. Even though my supply is good at this moment, throwing away 300ml just breaks my heart! I figured I must have been too greedy maximising the "storage space" in the bottle that I didn't leave enough room for the liquid to expand when put to freeze. So dumb! Anyway, now I make Shawn drink the EBM to help clear some space in the freezer. YT can't take the fishy smell from the thawed milk, so I would have to be the one to sit down with Shawn to make him drink it. Shawn never complains about the EBM. He typically drink about 200-250ml till he burps big time (I think it's overfeeding especially it's only 1-1.5hr after dinner)

Since CNY, Dylan sleeps from 9/10-ish to 4.30am (odd hours, which means I was getting about 4-5hrs of sleep a day). Last night, I woke him up and fed him at midnight until he passed out and this morning he woke up at 6.30am. I kind of dragged the time from 6am and stuffed in the pacifier till 6.30am as I was not willing to creep out of bed and sit up to feed him. It's good enough. Hope we would be able to stretch the time longer like before!

Caregivers in school always tell me he's a very chatty boy. And yes, he loves to "talk" and coo along when we talk to him. Now he's sucking his fingers (esp his thumb!) more often too. When I take a sniff of his hands - gross!

4Feb10

Dylan started infant care on 1Feb10. He seemed ok so far. This is taken on day4 after I brought him back from infant care. Tired little one...

And my milk stash as of yesterday (one of the bags is not milk though). Pretty filled up, so now I need to get Shawn to drink his fill more often
