4 words sentence today - "I like this one" pointing at a bowl of soup
New word "Tawau tree" which is Christmas tree. Not too sure how he ended up with Tawau tree... :)
He loves to parrot after anyone these days. Love it when he says something wrong and with the sound effect of Ooo Ooo. :P

Parents/Teachers conference
PTC for Dylan was with the principal, Mrs Lim, Tr Florence and Chen laoshi. We sat there for almost an hour to speak about this kid. The teachers reassured us that he's getting better these days. They were saying that in comparison to other kids, Dylan takes a longer while to adapt to rules and regulations and he's just getting the message that there are rules to follow. Back in infant care, he is allowed to auto roam and do his own thing. In PG, he barely can sit down for 10seconds and always moving around disturbing others. He is also climbing onto the shelves, taking out toys and messing around. Only recently he has learnt through reward method that if he keeps the toys, he gets milk or food. So, I guess he's really just getting there... Apparently in school, when he pooped, he would declare to teacher that he had pooped, head over to his bag and grab the diapers. But at home, I would have to wrestle with him to get him changed! And in school, he would bring Chen laoshi's water bottle to her to drink during water time, and bring HER slippers to laoshi during outdoor activities! I almost fell off my chair when I heard this. It IS really UNREAL!

As of November...
Words that is not to my liking - Recently Dylan objects by saying "Don't want".
Food that is not to his liking, tried and tested too many times - steamed egg and tofu
Loves everything that is labelled under bread, radish, fried eggs with onions, stems of green leafy vege, cucumber
Recently there has been some burning smell in the air (despite torrential rain these few days), not sure which part of S.E.Asean is burning. And Dylan is down with leaky nose, now coughing a little. Ugghhh...

Update!
Dylan CAN speak mandarin. Other than saying 我要, he has some other vocab in tow... :)
Shawn said, "我要吃苹果"
Dylan replied, "我要 apple"
And he also said, "我要 水"
Not bad huh?
He's been catching up on speech.
- Recognising some other color red & blue
- Understanding WAIT (though it's still a short wait, it's better than nothing)
- Stand outside the kitchen (for the sake of multivit)
Dylan has been the funny guy. We asked him what's his name and he'll keep replying "Lo(ve)lette" with that cheeky smile. He's got a friend called Lovelette, he probably thinks her name is easier to pronounced than Dylan. Anyway we have NEVER heard him say Dylan. As for other names, he calls out to Justin with the J sound. BUT when he called the teachers he does it as Ah Tin (Tr Christine), Ah Mark (Tr Marge), Ah Let (Tr Violet). Funny kid!

Here we go again...
Few bad weeks ofcough, vomit, diarrhoea, nose leakage, 39.5Fever, now the infamous HFMD. My little bull now spots countless spots (previous encounter was 7spots) but tonight I saw way too many that I decided not to count. I can't stop cursing because it's frustrating as it's quarter end and everything is in limbo now.

Growing up with Shawn
9/21 new word : Chrysalis
Caterpillar become pupa. Pupa also known as chrysalis. Pupa is like that (palms claps together). After that pupa become butterfly. Every morning, a very "caring" Shawn would ask Dylan, "Didi do you want ipad?" With or without answer, he would open the study room door and get the ipad. If Dylan whines for it, then he'll give it to him else it's his. I would ask did he take the iPad out from the room, his answer would typically be because didi wants to play ipad.
Shawn doesn't need ME to put him to bed anymore. Putting him to bed = lying next to him and hold his hands. It's been a couple of days when he declares (while brushing his teeh) that he wants to sleep ALL by himself, on his own. YT tried a couple of times and said something like, "Papa lie next to you ok and pat you?" He replied, "No cannot, you are not my mommie". Then YT said, "Then mommie come in can she pat you?" Answer was, "May be"
Shawn : Ho Sang's didi come already
Mommie : Oh, how did you know?
Shawn : Ho Sang told me. He said his eyes like his
Shawn was mumbling some parts of Nobody (nobody but you) in Korean. Simply don't understand why the both of them prefer the Korean version. Hahaa

Dylan and the phone
Last night, Dylan almost dunked my phone into a glass of water. Luckily I was watching else my phone would have been drowned. Anyway, today I think my phone cranks up. It's acting weird and probably suffering from stroke or something. It was all right but just half an hour ago, I can't boot up, only to see an apple on the screen for past 15min and then it came back to life! Anyway, it's time to get a new phone!
This morning we woke up to a very excited Dylan, who managed to get hold of my phone, screaming "Ifon, ifon!" 5min later, he came to me and said, "No more! Chak chak, cher cher" and handed the phone back to me. My Dylan decoder said, "No more, charge charge, xie xie"
Things that I don't do with my phone and kid#2 did it for me
1. add almost all my contacts into favorite
2. set timer and alarm at the odd-est hour
3. personalise ringing tone to most contacts
4. make overseas calls and also to my insurance agent!

The little loud one
Last week, I taught Dylan word by word, to say I want more apple, he does it with his version of 'sign' language
I use his fingers to pinch lightly on his eyes
want slouch forward, arms together
more signs more correctly while saying it
apple arms high up in the arm
and after saying all this, he would end with "Yay" and claps his hands
I have heard "Get the ball", "Kick the ball", "Look at that", "What is this", "I want apple, I want milk"
He is now able to name these when we point to the pictures/items
FISH, BIRD, DOG, CAT, COW
CRANE, TRUCK, MOTORCYCLE (he calls bike), TRAIN, BOAT, SHIP
Sometimes he would grab my index finger to say out loud objects to him
When asked what does lion says, his answer is, "Um!" while Shawn would add on, "No, not um, it's ROARRRR"
He was looking at my handphone with pictures from weekend's lunch. He saw YT's birthday cake and said, "Papa... Papa... cake... cake... happy... yay!" It wasn't continous and smooth but I figured he was trying to string them together.
I just can't explain's Dylan love for
1. char siew pau 3 at one go? Not the giant pau but regular char siew pau
2. apple would keep 100+ pcs of blocks into the toy box for the sake of one apple
3. football my kid was screaming goal and clapping at Best Denki watching M'sia vs Sin match, while the players were just passing the ball at the pitch

Dylan talks
Yesterday just right after dinner Dylan declared "All done" hands down wham on the highchair table and was quickly trying to get out of the highchair.
He is loving soup these days too. He mumbled something like "I want soup".
He took a deep bite on Shawn's hand when the latter refused to hand him some Lego blocks. So Dylan took a bite on Shawn's right arm. In the evening the bite area was still red and felt puffy. Poor Shawn... I told Dylan's school teacher in the morning and I guess the news did go around and seems like most teachers now are keeping an eye on the little biter. He tried to nip my thigh last night and I managed to stop him before I became a victim!
In the morning when he wakes up he still chant "Ipad Ipad Ipad"... addict!
Finally COLOR!!! This morning he got hold of a blue car flashcard and said, "Blue". Yay!
Dylan point at the moon and said, "Ball ball". When the moon is blocked by some buildings as the car moved, he said, "Bye ball ball".

Okay!
Blood test came out pretty normal! Yay! Not anemic though dr said he looks a little pale. Overall okay today except that some vomit spit after a spasm of cough just now. I'm struggling to feed him with goat's milk today. Sigh.. hopefully he'll be more receptive tomorrow.

As for Dylan...
One of the crappy weekend and Monday. We started Dylan on antiB last Sunday night. Upon the 4th dose he had runs. So we had to stop. On Wednesday he didn't take any antiB. On Thrus I gave him only 1/4 of what was supposed to be for one day dose, and he continued to have runs. He was warm then then fever came back on Saturday night. Went sky high 39.6deg on Sunday morning.
We brought him to Dr Khor today. No choice but to jab since his body is rejecting antiB and continuing having fever and diarrhoea which would drains him. Poor kid cried the mall down when he had his nose cleaned by the expert and swabbed. Dr took his stool and nose muck for tests. During jab, he was protesting, shed some tears and then it was all right after we cheered and clapped when the jab was done. Brave boy! I think to him, nose swab was more tortorous than the jab. Anyway, after his nap, he was running temperature at high end of 38deg. I was out buying Karihome to sub his Gain IQ temporarily. When I got hom I gave him ibuprofen and panadol to bring that down. Ridiculously just now when I checked his temperature it was 35deg-ish. He is sweating buckets now.
I gave him Karihome goat milk just now. He took one sip and had that 'yucks' look on his face. He probably drank 100ml out of the 180ml that I made. Ouch to my pocket because Karihome is EXPENSIVE! Anyway, hope during the next feed he would drink and not kick a fuss! And I certainly hope that he won't wake up at 2.30am (which he did yesterday) and squat in the kitchen to drink water. Pls pls sleep through at least till 6!

Aiyo...
Dylan drove us nuts over weekend and Monday. Hope he's recovering soon! Pls pls pls!
Singing Twinkle twinkle Little star - silly mommie version
Aiyo Aiyo Aiyoyo
Aiyo Aiyo Aiyoyo
Aiyo Aiyo Aiyoyo
Aiyo Aiyo Aiyoyo
Aiyo Aiyo Aiyoyo
Aiyo Aiyo Aiyoyo
Dylan seems to be able to count 1 to 7, not spot on pronounciation but just mumble jumbo, when it comes to seven, he does it with eh-ven.. something like that. Other than that it's A B C
Today I was singing The wheel on the bus go .... Dylan answers with Beep Beep Beep through the phrases. When it comes to All day long, he sings something that sounded like all lay long

Ouch!
Yesterday, Dylan fell down on a pile of toys and wailed his lungs out. He had a small (not deep) cut on his cheek. After wailing for less than 3min, it's back to business of messing around house. We are not sure what exactly happened because there was just Dylan and Shawn in the living room when this happened. Ah Ma was cutting apple in the kitchen while I was bathing. Anyway, this morning we only see a light cut on the cheeck.
Recently he must have learnt to keep toys in school. So, he could register that he should be keeping toys when we harp on him, well at least he does keep a few before walking off (thought there are many more left on the floor) :)
Last night as Dylan was tossing around his mattress, I took away his bolster, then he playfully said, "No, no, no". Then I piled 4 baby bolsters onto him and he chuckled and said, "No, no, no". Seems like he knows what 'no' means now.
When asked questions ending with ok, he always reply with OK. Usually he has a tendency to object when it comes to the real thing. Like e.g. I told him to change his diaper ending with ok, he replied ok. Then when I put him on the diaper mat, he'll squirm and scream! Guess ok doesn't quite mean anything as yet huh...

So the latest was...
Last night Dylan tore a flap from one of the books, looked at me and exclaimed, "Aiyo!"
YT taught Dylan the WINDOWS logo on computer and the little one says "Dou dou". I wonder he knows what a real WINDOW is.
This morning Dylan woke up and rolled onto me, hugged my thigh like a bolster, slept on my tummy, snuggled onto my head. Not a word said... Then when Shawn woke up, they both sneaked out of the room, both didn't even say a word to me (pretending to be asleep). Then I heard music from iPad apps, for at least 10min, no argument outside at the living room. Peaceful...

No is the word
Mommie : Dylan, time to say good night to Ah Ma
Dylan : NO! (and walked away)
Mommie : Dylan, say nite nite
Dylan : Nite nite (and continued playing)
In the dark,
Mommie : Dylan, pls close your eyes now

The end of the week
One whole week at home with Dylan is no joke. Luckily mum is in town. Either one of us HAS to be around with him ALL the time unless he's sleeping. I think the main discomfort is his gums as he's always digging into his mouth. His 3+4 little red blisters were long gone. And yes, I'm truly looking forward to going back to office, need some sanity restoration after staying home for a week with Dylan.
Dylan has become IPad addict. When he sees the IPad, he would chant for it and squirm and cry if he's not given. It comes handy especially when we want to have dinner in peace. Having the Ipad would mean less sticky Dylan at dining time and less walking over to beg for food at our dinner. During his meal time he would asks for my phone. It seems I have to hide it before putting him onto the high chair for meal. He could quietly sit through his meal if the IPhone is there, then it's a breeze for mum or I to feed him. His favorite apps is educational Ocean Animals (I think he likes fish a lot!) and Fruit Ninja (where he goes berserk 'slashing' my phone) Else it's war at mealtime.
This morning I showed him a flashcard of a bowl of rice, and he said, "Mum mum". Oh boy.. what a word. When it comes to fish and apple, he got the words right, thought not pronounced perfectly.
Every morning he would try his luck by pressing the power on button on the TV, quickly climbs on the couch and wait for the TV to come on. If it's a non-cartoon channel, he would go back to the TV and turn it off and turn on again. (Typically at night my mum would watch the Mandarin news.) He thinks that by pressing the power on button would change the channel to Playhouse Disney or Cartoon Network. Fortunately it doesn't. 1-2 days later he figured he does need the controller to do the job. Since the power on button on the TV doesn't change the channel, he would grab the controller and press. Well, Dylan Ooi thinks any controller would do the job, so we had put the Starhub controller far far away from his reach.
Yesterday I had to work a little from home, though I'm on leave. Dylan was bored so he came in the study and put his hand on my arm and said, "Mommie, mimi".... awwwww for the 1st time I have become Mommie. During nap time yesterday too he pat on my arm to see if I was asleep yet, he too called out Mommie. Finally mimi has become Mommie. :D

Here we go again!
Dylan being bugged by one bacterial/virus after another. Nevertheless he is still active as usual. On Saturday I spotted few red dots on his feet/lower leg. There is one spot on the sole, I knew it's not going to be good. . There was one HFMD case on 10May. So I brought him to the doctor to confirm and it is. Bleah! Actually I had applied for leave on Monday, now needed to extend over the week to stay home with kid. Luckily mum is in town at least, sanity check on the weekdays! Coupled with terrible gums on Saturday and part of Sunday, he was as sticky as a leech and superglue in one. He wasn't easily pleased over the weekend. Anyway, that was over. Today his backside is plagued by the diarrhoea due to HFMD. Yellowish watery poo for the whole day. When asked to change diaper, he could casually say, 'Nooooo' and run away. Poor kid. Hope it's gone for good by tomorrow.
Latest update:
- When I say Yes, he replied No and the 2word conversation goes on and on.
- When he sees the ipad, he would chant, 'Ipad, Ipad'
- According to my mum, one incident he hurt his sole and he said, 'Pain pain'
- He sings Twinkle twinkle little star with his own words and melody - totally UnTwinkle twinkle little star, from the 1st line Star onwards
- Just today, I notice he can spend about 15min with Lego. To me it's an achievement. Since nothing else other than Ipad can keep him seated for SOOO long! After he manages to put 2 blocks together he would make some funny noise with his tongue in and out of his mouth (sounds like waddle)
- Guess his favorite body part now is his nose. sometimes he would suddenly just pinch his nose, tilt his head a little and look at you and says, "Noooosseee"
- Dylan prefers to 'read' when he's supposed to nap/sleep in the kids' room. Either that he would plonk the book onto my face/head to make sure I turn around and read to him. He would grab our fingers and point to the object that interests him in the book and we would read it to him. Unless of course in the night, he doesn't do that.
- Recently he picked up another book that would keep him interested for 5min (Lift-the-Flap: Things That Go) This would could barely keep Shawn occupied for 5min but could keep Dylan seated. Dylan seems to like the hot air balloon a lot in this book

Update
Dylan has been BM free during the long weekend and latch on free too! Hurray! He does try his luck during bedtime asking for milk. But he took rejection with stride.. while at least for the past 3days. He still wakes up usually at about 3-4am but I'd lie next to him to get him to go back to sleep. Then the next waking is at about 6-7am. When he's hungry at about 6-7am, he would sound really desperate. If he doesn't get back to sleep after his milk feed, then I'll just let him do whatever he wants while I continue to sleep (that if he allows me to!) or he would disturb me to keep me awake. Back in school today, he's on one feed of EBM and one feed on FM. Fortunately back at home he didn't pose any problem during milk feed tonight.
Tonight Dylan made a choice. 3 little monkeys song or ABC. He said, "Ae Bih.... pihhhh" - that would mean A-B, please

27/4 1.45am 1st waking, he woke up and walked into our room quietly and put his head on my arm while standing at the side of the bed. Then I picked him up and went back to the room. I told him repeatedly we are going back to bed in korkor's room. I placed him onto his mattress and lie next to him. He tossed for awhile and went back to Lalaland. At 5am he woke up and walked into our room again. Then chanted for milk. I brought him back to the room and told him it's still too early, then I lie down. He didn't lie down for long, sat up and chanted for milk again. When I ignored him pretending to be sleeping, he would lie down for a while and toss and then decided to sit up again and ask for milk. I don't think he slept, but I knew I slept. Bleah... he shook me and tried to wake me up, probably at about 6am. So I decided ok, I would try my luck and voiced out to him, "Ok mommie bring you to the kitchen then we get milk". It sounded alien to him, he didn't nod his head. So, to simplify things, "Do you want milk?" He nodded. I took his hand and walked him to the kitchen. No fuss no complain, no rolling and screaming, he followed. Then brought Foogo out of the kitchen and told him he has to sit on the highchair and he didn't struggle. He drank probably 100ml or so and started to fool around. Had to coax him a bit and the probably did another 50ml. And he let out a loud burp. I think my 1.5yr old stomach is not as big as much and can't match some infants would can apparently gulp down 250ml of FM which baffles me. Doesn't matter, it's just me because I don't believe in overfeeding. The burp does indicate to me that's as much as he can drink at 6am in the morning (since the last feed before 9pm). I am very thankful and glad that he didn't reject FM in the morning on an empty stomach. Well done Dylan for skipping night feed for the 1st time from ~9pm to 6am, and a happy me getting some longer quality sleep wahahhaaa!
I hope to see some consistency while putting him to bed, i.e no patting or holding hands or hugging required and stick to this routine. But I noticed for the past few nights while putting him to bed at 8-9ish, whenever I stood up from the mattress, he would stand up and follow me around in the room ALTHOUGH I was just sitting on the bed, watching out. Duh... So I suppose Dylan's criteria was for me to sit at the corner of the mattress and watch him toss and turn. Tonight I sneaked out of the room while he was just about to doze off. Actually I couldn't quite tell whether if he did snooze off already so I decided to tiptoe out of the room.
Last night I sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star again, Dylan's answer to each end of the phrase was star. Tonight there were difference. I took a video of him completing each phrase.

Today's update
Same thing last night, he would up twice about 3 and then 5am. But I latched him when he woke up the 2nd time. Then slept till about 7am.
As YT and I were having dinner, Dylan brought a book of vehicles to us. YT read and came to a page of dump trucks. Dylan said dump truck then suddenly went off. He picked up the fire truck and said, "Truck". Then came back to us. YT pointed at the dump truck on the book and Dylan said, "Truck". I think he was trying to connect .. either that he was confused the definition of truck. Hahahaaa
Tonight, again, I made Dylan 3 scoops of Gain IQ and I think he probably finished 3/4 of it. So I'll just stick to 2 scoops of it for night feed. Fed on high chair, no fuss during milk time tonight, but still require a little coaxing and chit chat over that 5-10min.
27/4 sleep log : Tonight was peaceful. Before that in the dark, I sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, he completed each phrase with Star, grinning ear to ear in the dark when he does the Star. Just like Shawn back then when he started completing each phrase in a song. Managed to get him to sleep in 15min. Yay yay!

As of today...
To continue 25Apr episode : Dylan did whimper at about midnight, but didn't walk out or cry. Then woke up at 3ish to cry. I carried him back to the room and tried to pacify him. He screamed but not the typical murdering scream. It was managable within 15min. Much to my content. Then at 4ish and he asked for milk. I thought well should be about time. Latched him on and put him back to bed and we all slept till 7plus.
26Apr Kids had dinner at about 7.30pm and Dylan had his milk at about 8.15pm. Needed a little coaxing to finish up. After awhile, I whisked him off from the hall to the room while Shawn was just starting to munch his pear. Dylan saw and was not too happy about it. I quickly closed the door, changed his diaper and Pjs and lights off. 8.35pm was in time, 8.50pm was out time. I sat at the corner of the mattress while he lie down tossing around. No noise, peaceful and calm, until he went to lalaland while hugging 3 soft baby bolsters in his arms, with one supporting his backside. I am thankful today I didn't need to collect glue from his nose. Hope tonight would be good for real!
Yesterday his mood was pretty foul in school. When being reprimanded for being naughty, he would just cry and throw tantrum. Monday blues.. Apparently today he is much better. Tr Justina was telling me this PM when I picked Dylan up and he is always chanting "mum mum" for more food. Seeing other babies drinking milk or eating solids/snacks, he is always there eye-hawking on other's.
Recently he asked to 'help' mommie during dinner time. I always ask if Dylan wants to help mommie i.e. to say to self feed. His answer is usually, "Pheeee" (please). I would guide his hand since he isn't controlling very well yet. If I were to start off feeding him, it doesn't get past 10 spoonful of food. So, I guess he prefers to be 'responsible' of his own doing and eat it up. It's not a bad thing eh? Speaking of self feeding, he is not into bite and break the food off while chewing the smaller piece in the mouth. Shawn would give Dylan a piece of fruit under my instructions. Dylan would sit down on his red stool next to Shawn to eat. Just that I need to be there as Dylan in his usual fashion would shove everything into his mouth. So extra care is required when Dylan gets a piece of fruit

Twist and Shout!
To continue on 24Apr episode : Dylan woke up at 4.15am asking for milk. I thought well poor thing, he must have wasted so much energy 5hours ago, so I latched him on and went back to sleep until 7am and latched again. The end
25Apr : Kids had dinner at 7. Dylan had his milk at 8pm. It seems he recognised Shawn's Shinkansen cup and was running away from me and whined and cried when I tried to get him onto the seat. So I took his Foogo cup and poured the cup of milk into it and he willingly sat on the high chair and drank. Putting him bed was not peaceful tonight. There was a twist and shout session from 8.27pm to 8.45pm. I guess it was shorter tonight but episode kicked off earlier. It was a sudden switch off session when he decided to just close his eyes, tumbled down and looked for a nice spot to snooze. Hope he won't switch on the 11.50pm button to twist and shout again. Keep my fingers and toes crossed

Log of weaning Dylan off
Continued from 22Apr : Dylan woke up at 2am, walked to our room. I held his fingers and wanted to walk him back to kids' room. He sat on the floor and threw tantrum. So I carried him to the room. It took him 1/2hr to calm down and went back to sleep. He woke up at 6plus and well, I latched him on for feed.
23Apr : For the 1st time I gave him FM for his afternoon feed. Teik sat down with him for his night feed. Was peaceful until bedtime. Dylan cried his way to Lalaland, though he had enough milk prior to bedtime. Guess he needed the kick before sleep. Woke up just before midnight and screamed again. He ended up tired and went back to sleep and woke up at 5am, latched on.
24Apr : Latched him before Pm nap. Tonight it took him about 1/2hr, while Shawn was tossing around on the bed, he tossed on the mattress on the floor. Woke up just before midnight and screamed for milk again. He ended up crying, beating me up and tossing and kicking me. Abusive! But I think my neighbours would be thinking I am abusing him from the way he screamed and cried. After all the muck and tears for 45min he gave him and lied next to me and drifted off to Lalaland. I hope it'll last him till 6 or 7am before waking up!
I'm just hoping to kill many birds with one stone i.e.
- boot him out of the room (think this is accomplished)
- wean him off breast milk (think this is in progress, well at least he doesn't push when Gain IQ is served, touchwood!)
- wean him off the bottle (the school got to do this, because I never gave bottle at home. Just cup & straw)
- wean him off comfort suckle at night
- wean him off night feed
How mean eh!

Operation D-boot
Basically play by ear... Unplanned, impromptu with mommie's see how-lah attitude
19Apr Tues : Downgraded Dylan to mattress in Shawn's room. He didn't reject by banging the door to get out of the room. I latched him to Lalaland. He woke up at about 1am and 5am. He walked over to our room, sobbing a little and shook me hard to make sure I couldn't go back to sleep. Obviously I latched him back to Lalaland during the wakings.
20Apr Wed : Tried fresh milk but he smirked, sipped a little, walked away, came back and drank a little more, smirked. Never quite finished it. Bleah.. forget it. I latched him on to make him drift to Lalaland.
21Apr Thru : 150ml of Gain IQ served at 9.30pm served with straw in Shawn's cup. He probably had drink this before in school but via milk bottle. He finished it. But putting him to bed, he asked for more milk. I latched him on again. He woke up at ~ 1am and then ~7am. I had longer sleeping hours last night.. woohooo
22Apr Fri i.e. today : 200ml of Gain Iq served at 8pm, again served with straw in Shawn's cup on high chair. Needed a little of coaxing but he finished it. Tried to get him to bed, he played in the dark all over and got scolded obviously. Well, he did get the intonation of me screaming at him as bad bad naughty boy. He cried and threw a little tantrum. Took about 1/2hr of on and off crying and screaming. I lie on his mattress and he was climbing all over, put his head on my tummy, lie on top of me, trying to find the best position to sleep. Cried a little and decided to toss back onto his mattress to try to sleep. Took another 1/2hr or so for this cycle to complete and finally he knocked out at 9.30pm.
We'll see how it goes tonight. Hopefully he got the message no more latch on to Lalaland.. wishing, hoping and praying!

Update as of today
Some improvement this week. He was willing to sit on the carseat from home to school in the mornings though he was already whining and struggling wanting to get off the seat at the 2nd traffic light that we hit. Well, better than nothing. I just had to say something like, "Ok, mommie give you the bag, or the water bottle" to park his backside on the seat. He is more than interested to hold Shawn's water bottle and pretend to be sipping the straw even though it's empty (which means he's 'drinking' air)
When asked to smile, he tilts his head and says "Mile". Anyway here's a serious picture of Dylan watching tv.
Appetite is back, eating what's cooked in the "Grossly-Yours-Kitchen". I am not proud but I'm glad my boys are eating my all in one pot food. Hahaaa! And recently he is munching his food. I gave him half a mini button mushroom and I see his mouth moving. I supposed he did munch. And all that minced pork no longer get spitted out. Thankfully.. and hope that it stays that way!

Update
Everyday of this week when I drop Dylan off at school, he screamed and cried like there is no tomorrow. I suppose now are talking about separation anxiety. Yes, finally he is behaving that way! I heard from teachers that when he starts to see kids going home at 6plus he starts to drama as well. Cried and rolled on the floor. At home he does the snatch-the-toy stunt every other minute when he NEEDS to get it from Shawn. When he isn't happy, just plummet on the floor, and cry and scream. Think we had seen that enough. Terrible 2 has indeed started! Tada!
He's been talking more, most of it which I couldn't quite understand. Baby blabber. The phrase which I catch is usually, "Let go (let's go)". He has shown interest in vehicles, particularly bulldozer and diggers that sort. Typical BOY thing.
During the Brisbane trip, Dylan had the HATE-MOST-FOOD syndrome. Junk is acceptable, such as chips and less nutritional food like bread and cakes are most welcomed (not all the time though). And also, HATE-THE-CARSEAT syndrome. No way we can belt him upwhile he's awake. He would scream on top his lungs. Gosh.... The only chance is to drug him with milk until he knocks out (on long journey this helps alot!) and then transfer him onto the seat. We have the problem now back in Sg as he doesn't want to be on the carseat anymore. Now he sits on my lap when we are travelling on the road, while goody Shawn sits on his booster throne. Sigh... I wonder when can we get this over and done with?!

New words
Ih-kit = Biscuit
Pau = Bread, bun or Pau
Ahhhh-pen = Open
He never fails to use this word when he's in the playyard, holding on to the playyard gate and scream Ahhh-pen to get us to open the gate for him to get out

Verbal/non verbal update
His favorite song now is 3Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. He loves the version on my phone from one of the apps that I downloaded. He likes the "tsk tsk" sound during the short melodyless part "the doctor said..." and he goes nodding and tsk tsk tak tak as well
3 (2, 1)little monkeys jumping on the bed
One fell off and bumped his head
So Momma called the doctor and the doctor said
No more monkeys jumping on the bed!
Tak tak - close the cover of the water bottle
Diaper - piper
*yes* silent is denoted by vigorous nods
Pointing at a goose, he says Duck. Pointing at a horse or a dog, he says Dog... I'll wait and see what's next

3/3 Zombified
Dylan's crib party started from 0117 to 0238 yesterday. He sure did drive me up the walls at the wrong time of the day. I don't remember what time or how he lie down on our bed and slept. I got up at about 0545 and wanted to shift him to the playpen. Next thing I knew was Shawn was awake at 6plus and there goes my sleep time. I went to work feeling like a zombie...

Milk matters
One of the teachers was asking me if I would like to supplement one of the milk feeds with FM. Well I have just met my target recently on 11Feb11. PERSONAL target of 15months matters to me, BIG BIG DEAL! And then.. my supply goes downhill. From the ability to at least meet 2bottles feed, per day, I was reduced to 1/2 or 3/4 amount that I used to pump. Just past 2 days my supply just went downhill that I had to ask the teachers to use one of the frozen bottles. The best part I'm not sure since when this bottle had been stored in school. Hehehee
So, let's do some maths here.15months in short (1yr 3months 3days) - I had milked, cowed and whatever you call that to feed Dylan the golden liquid. Now it's not gold anymore, off white. And proudly say without a drip on formula milk to date. We had tried fresh milk with cereal but not a milk feed replacement. And that's probably 2-3months ago. He still depends on me when he wakes up at night (mainly for comfort but still drain me dry in minutes). So what's next?
Can't quite think now... would pen my thoughts another time... Need to meet the zzz monster before Dylan wakes up!

22/2 PM
Dylan saw round street lamps, pointed at them and said, "Ball"
He went Ooooo! non-stop seeing a green digger righ in front of the school
23/2 AM
Saw a few birds on the rooftop, pointed and said "Bird"
23/2 PM
Communicated very well with Ah Ma when it comes to food
Communicated very well with Mommie when it comes to milk (in the dark!)

Tok tok tok
22/2 Morning
At the junction of Tampines towards Simei road, our little one already started to "tok tok tok" all the way to Melville Park apartments. Unfortunately we didn't see any dogs. But he also went Ooo along the way over cars, vans etc. Nice
22/2 Evening
Dylan excitedly said bye bye to the gal (backfacing) in the car in the next lane while we were waiting for traffic light to turn green and kept hitting the window demanding for a response... Then the car turned into a corner and then he pointed and screamed "Ba! Ba!" - there was a bus... Exceptionally noisy n exciting journey back home with Dylan around

2/13 While stopping at a traffic light, Dylan pointed out to a lady walking a Jack Russell and said, "Tok Tok!" I take it as Dog dog... yay!
Decoding Dylan :
tor tor = kor kor,
tor tic = tortoise,
tok tok = dog
tak tak = duck...
mo mo = more more / no more (trial and error whatever he was saying)
daktak = dump truck
ta = car
2/14 I recently noticed that when something dropped, Dylan goes into a monotonous "Ooo ooo"
While bathing him, the water was a little warm. Dylan went "Ot" for a couple of times. Took me awhile to understand that as Hot! However he also say cold as Ot.
2/15 This morning we saw a man walking 2 goldies and 1 labrador at Melville Park. Dylan pointed and said, "Tok tok!". And he "tok" all the way from Melville Park to school.
